Our Story
Abdul Ahad Azad Memorial Degree College, Bemina, established in 1970, has grown into one of the most trusted institutions of higher education in Srinagar. Affiliated to Cluster University Srinagar, the college offers a broad spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes designed to foster intellectual growth, critical thinking and professional readiness.

A Legacy of Learning
Founded in 1970 during the tenure of Chief Minister Ghulam Mohammad Sadiq, the college admitted its first batch in 1972. Within a few years it earned recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Sections 2(f) and 12(B), entitling it to central grants and cementing its national standing.
After four and a half decades as an affiliated college of the University of Kashmir, the institution transitioned in 2017 to become a Constituent College of the Cluster University of Srinagar. Today it serves over 4,000 students annually, drawn not only from Srinagar but from remote areas across J&K and Ladakh, and holds NAAC Grade A accreditation.
